Marketing Institute Overview (09.18.2009)

Our second installment of the 2009 GMA Marketing Institute was a raging success. The event took place on September 18th, 2009 and with a line-up that included Innovation Protocol, Neutrogena, EA and Nestle. The seats were packed and, after such informative speakers, we saw the passion from our students through many thorough questions. We could have elongated the day a couple of hours just to include enough time for questions and answers.
The GMA would especially like to thank:
- Sasha Strauss, Managing Director for Innovation Protocol, for his phenomenal talk on branding strategy;
- Sebastian Garcia-Vinyard, Product Director – Young Skin Innovation, for speaking about how Neutrogena is able to stay on top through innovation;
- Stacey Brand & John Fenno, Senior Product Managers at Electronic Arts, for teaching the differences between product management and brand management;
- Nichole Fisher, Marketing Manager for Nescafé and Nestea at Nestle, for providing an in depth look at what it means to be stay competitive in the CPG realm; and
- Kat Espino for helping to arrange the logistics of the Marketing Institute.
We definitely cannot thank our speakers enough. Our students are now researching their potential future career paths with gusto!
