Why I chose USC Marshall: I love LA! Besides that, the infamous “Trojan Network” ultimately sold me. Working in sales, I understand the value in networking, and you will not come across a stronger alumni network than USC. Additionally, I knew I wanted to concentrate on marketing and entrepreneurship and out of all the LA b-schools, Marshall has the best of both worlds.
Advice for future GMA members: Network. You’ll hear it to the point of exhaustion, but it is so true! Start putting your feelers out this summer. Reach out to students who are actually doing the internships you might be interested in and ask if they can meet for drinks or chat on the phone. You’ll learn a lot and you will be ahead of the game before school starts! Remember, it’s a numbers game. The more you reach out, the better your chances are in finding your dream job!
Favorite activities: Running, swimming, biking (triathlons), yoga, kicking butt at C4C, and not taking myself too seriously.
